Events

We initiated an annual "New To Me" event to support families as children grow, offering mounds of clothing items, books, and shoes for families to ‘shop’. This event is made possible by the generosity of our local church partnerships, providing a significant opportunity for families to access essential items at an affordable price of $5 per tote bag.

City Light is dedicated to supporting not just the staff but also the students and families of Horace Mann Elementary School. During the holidays, we aim to ease the burden on parents and caregivers by fulfilling students' wishlists. Partnering with local churches, we invite their members to shop for a child and return gifts unwrapped. Families are then invited to the Holiday Light event, where children enjoy games and treats while parents or caregivers wrap their gifts.

A La Carte

Community Clean Up

Easter Eggstravaganza

Families are invited to join us at the park to enjoy egg hunts, pictures with the Easter bunny, lunch, games + prizes, treats, bounce house, take-home resources, and more. What an amazing opportunity to celebrate the joy of Easter with many.

Back to School Bash

Family Fun Nights

We launched the annual Back to School Bash to ensure every child feels confident returning to school, providing them with new backpacks, school supplies, family lunches, games, activities, a photo booth, bounce house, and more. It's our joy to celebrate these back-to-school superstars!

Themed family fun nights, held indoors during winter and outdoors in summer, offer opportunities for families to bond over meals, games, treats, and Gospel-centered resources at no cost, thanks to your ongoing support.

Holiday Light

New to Me

Every spring, the West Allis Police Department hosts a city-wide community clean-up and City Light is happy to be one of many local organizations to join. If you want to enjoy some fresh spring air and clean up a beautiful city, plan on joining us every May!

West Allis A La Carte is an annual street festival held every first Sunday in June, uniting businesses, schools, churches, civic organizations, community artists, youth programs, and the City of West Allis. City Light collaborates with local churches to host an exciting children’s area at the event, offering juice boxes, popcorn, and engaging activities like sensory play or sand art, providing a fun opportunity to connect with numerous families and children in the community.
